Our Vision
To guide young athletes to tackle challenges through discipline, dedication and devotion while having a fun and thrilling experience.
Introduction to YWSF
YWSF dive is sponsored through United States Diving, AAU, and Y-USA.
This develops youth to enjoy the sport and develop into elite competitive divers with a legacy of national divers who have transitioned to Collegiate programs. We train athletes 8 through 18 years of age.
We coach both springboard at the YMCA and Platform at ASU.
Our Head Dive Coach is Bill Hunter who also coaches Ottawa University and AFHS. Key assistant coach is Daniel Fecteau, dive coach with Grand Canyon University.
Dive Programs
Our programs provide both recreational and competitive opportunities. We train Novice through to the Elite competitive level. Our athletes have been recruited by NCAA Division I, II and III colleges, as well as USA Academies.
Recreational
The recreational program is intended for children to learn the basics of safe diving from a springboard and platform and to enjoy the fun and thrill of this dynamic sport.
Novice
Our Novice program, (Bronze Group) is the beginning of their journey into competitive diving. They learn the fundamental mechanics as they advance through 7 levels of progressions and compete these skills in Novice competitions.
Junior Olympic Program
Our JO program (Silver & Gold) builds on fundamental skills to learn and perform those dives required for local, state and national competition. Our highest-level divers compete abroad.
International Competition
